Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
There is no better way to experience Fossil Rim Wildlife Center than on a tour, and the facility presents plenty of variety in that regard. Open to the public since 1984 and now showcasing more than 50 animal species on 1,800 acres, Fossil Rim’s most well-known offering is the Guided Tour, which lasts approximately two hours and is available daily. Another tour available every day is the Behind-the-Scenes Tour, which incorporates black rhinos, wolves and other animals people cannot see in their own vehicles. There’s also the Adventure Tour, which allows guests to customize the focus toward particular species.
Some tours are designed specifically for the morning, such as the Crack O’Dawn Family Tour and the Feed Run Tour, which is actually a ride-along with an animal care specialist. Conversely, there are evening tours like Discovery After Dark, a trio of romantic tours and also tours designed to treat your parent to a special experience. There are two Animal Keeper Tours each year, plus a number of Photography Tours.
We even offer a mountain bike tour, or large-group tours in buses. To learn more, go to fossilrim.org and check out the “Plan A Visit” options. However you want to get a closer look at wildlife, we have the answer.
